numbers.

Necessary Information/Documents
For naming of different parts of a mixed use development with a distinct commercial podium and residential tower, please provide a section plan of the building marking out the podium and tower block.
Applications by MCST:
Applications made by Management Corporations must be accompanied by the relevant extract of the minutes of meeting (AGM/EGM) containing an ordinary resolution on the naming/renaming proposal.
Applications by HDB:
Applications made by HDB must be accompanied by a letter of no objection from the Ministry of National Development on the proposed name.
Applications by State Properties:
Applications made by the tenant/licensee of a State property must be accompanied by a letter of no objection from Singapore Land Authority (SLA) on the proposed name.
Applications by Tenants:
Applications where a tenant of a building has been given the naming rights to a building must be accompanied by a letter of no objection from the building owner on the proposed name.
The new house and/ or unit number application is applicable to new buildings or existing buildings that undergo changes to the building layout e.g. addition of unit created from common property.
You will need to prepare the following documents:
- Written Permission or Planning Clearance (applicable for development by ministries or government) granted by Urban Redevelopment Authority.
- A set of site plan annotated with proposed house number(s) [Maximum file size: 2MB].
- A complete set of approved building plans by Urban Redevelopment Authority with clear demarcation of the building and/or unit boundary line and the proposed house(s) and unit number(s) indicated on the plan [Maximum file size: 20MB].
The change of unit number application is applicable when there is a change in the configuration of unit(s) within the building premises. This will apply to various scenarios such as subdivision of an existing unit, combination of 2 or more existing units into a single unit and change in floor area of the existing units.
You will need to prepare the following documents:
- A set of building plans with the reconfigured unit boundary line clearly demarcated and the proposed unit numbers indicated on the plan [Maximum file size: 20MB].
- A set of building plans with the original unit boundary line clearly demarcated and the original unit numbers allotted by IRAS indicated on the plan [Maximum file size: 20MB].
The change of house number application is applicable if your property is affected by a change in street name or has changed its main entrance.
You will need to prepare the following documents:
- Approval by relevant authorities on the new street name or change of main entrance (e.g. Street and Building Names Board and Land Transport Authority).
- A set of site plan annotated with proposed house number(s) [Maximum file size: 2MB].
- A complete set of the approved building plan by Urban Redevelopment Authority with clear demarcation of the building and/or unit boundary line and the proposed house(s) and unit number(s) (if any) indicated on the plan [Maximum file size: 20MB].
The withdrawal of house and/or unit number application is applicable if the existing building and/or unit numbers are no longer required due to removal or demolition.
You will need to prepare the following documents:
- A set of site plan with the original building boundary line clearly demarcated and the original house number(s) allotted by IRAS indicated on the plan [Maximum file size: 2MB].
- A set of building plan(s) with clear demarcation of the boundary line of existing house(s) and unit number(s) to be withdrawn (if any). [Maximum file size: 20MB].
- Supporting documents (e.g. letter from owner that house/unit number is not required) [Maximum file size: 20MB].
